FAQ

  • Riley opens her request form every two months. The form is posted on her Instagram and Facebook pages and stays open for 24 hours.

Once the form closes, Riley takes about 1–2 weeks to review all requests. She prioritizes designs that align with her artistic style, interests, and ability.

If your request is accepted, you will receive a date and time along with a deposit link. If your request is declined, you will receive an email from thebookofink@gmail.com with a reason and, when possible, a referral to another artist.

At this time, I do not provide estimates through DMs or email. Inspiration photos rarely allow for fully accurate pricing, as final cost can vary depending on placement, exact sizing, level of detail, skin texture, and any day-of design changes.

If you request an appointment and need a more accurate estimate before committing, you can note that in the booking request.

  • Riley has a channel on her instagram “Last Minute Openings” you are welcome to join and turn on notifications to try and snag one.

There is no other way to get in earlier with Riley.

That said, custom designs are generally created after an appointment has been scheduled. This allows me to stay fully present with current clients while still giving each design the creative attention it deserves.

  • At this time, the artist feels in-person consultations aren’t necessary. I’ve found that most appointments can be planned thoroughly through the request form, email communication, and appointment-day collaboration.

Most projects do not require a formal consultation, but if I feel an in-person consult would benefit the design process due to complexity, placement, or communication concerns, I will absolutely recommend one.

  • At this time the artist accepts cash, debit or credit payments. Please note, all card transactions include a 2% fee.

  • No walk-ins at this time, by appointment only.

However, the artist sometimes does pop-ups in studio where she offers discounted flash tattoos. These are posted on her social media.
